Nordic Photography event in Oulu – a preproject

Nordic Cultre Point – Kulturkontakt Nord has awarded to Northern Photographic Centre a pre-project funding of 12.700 €  from the Culture and Art Programme  to develope a Nordic Photography Event.

The project is organized in  co-operation with  Centrum för Fotografi, intendent Gunilla Muhr, Stockholm, Sweden,  Fotogalleriet, curator Stephanie von Spreter, Olso, Norway and  Galleri Image, curator Beate Cegielska, Aarhus, Denmark. Director and  curator of Northern Photographic Centre Alla Räisänen  is coordinating the co-opreation.

During  2012 four workshops are organized in  Oulu, Aarhus, Oslo and Stockholm.  During the workshops the curators are  developing a concept and structure of the Nordic Photography Event.  In connection to the Phoptography Event a Nordic residence program  is developed.

The first meeting  of the pre-project is organized in Oulu spring 2012. The first Nordic Photography Event  will be in Oulu 2013 at Lasaretinväylä Art Hall.
